Apoyo para la prevención del plagio académico con la integracion de un algoritmo de código abierto y una plataforma educativa

This work describes the integration of an algorithm for plagiarism detection, distributed by an open source license and written in Python language, with an educational platform, developed in PHP language and also distributed with an open source license. The integration process started under a Model-View-Controller architecture and implemented in a LAMP server. This design allows the algorithm to access the documents data base (assignments, reports, reviews, etc.) of the e-learning platform, this from class works view. In this way, it is possible to analyses a new document comparing it with all the documents inside the server, and perform an exhaustive plagiarism search, which obtain a detailed statistical report of the plagiarism analyses. The purpose of the development of this application, is to provide to teachers of the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, a free technological tool in order to detect the plagiarism in their university students. As a result, preventive actions could be taken with those who incur in this practice, also the professors can purpose new didactic techniques to correct this problem during learning-teaching process.
